Retired low pension citizens still pay high federal tax.
Why do low income retired individuals pay such a high federal tax rate. They can barely live on their income and still owe the federal government over $1,000.00 in taxes with total income of under $24,000.00. I wonder if the tax law is reviewed for inconsistency for the lower income families.
I would like the people that write these laws to try and live one year with the same amount of income and maintain a household and still pay federal tax of $1,000.00. You do not know what it's like to want to purchase new furniture or take a vacation and know these things are out of your strict budget. This is how we care for senior citizens in the USA?
