I have been trying to improve my score. However, use 3 different companies to track my score and they’re all very different numbers. How do I find out which one is correct? And how do I know that companies I deal with will get the accurate one?

This year I just paid taxes off of a cancelled debt. Will the derogatory mark ever be removed from my report? The debt just turned over 8 years old, and I just paid taxes on it being cancelled. Do I have to dispute it to get it removed?

I've heard that filing bankruptcy is bad for your credit, but so is not paying your debts. What do I do if I honestly don't have the means to pay off my debt right now and I need credit so is it really wrong to file bankruptcy?
